Why would you pay $$$ just to get a benchmarking program before everyone else? Just so you can be the first to say - "Oh damn, its time to upgrade again..."

And to top it off 3dmarks have never equaled real-world performance and really don't mean anything in the long run.

I'm sure it will make any current card cry even at that setting, but higher resolutions with AA would be nice. Just so it has better performance scalability with future cards.

It doesn't really matter what they use. Whatever the basic version does by default will become the standard. 3DMark05 scores at 1600x1200 with AA/AF mean jack to me since I can't relate that to anything else. Maybe a 2000 is good, maybe not... Whereas a 10,000 at the default 1024x768 I know is a high score and is indicative of a high powered system. That being said, I wish that Futuremark would make the default include 4xAA/16xAF, since that would be more indicative of real world gaming.

Im a subscriber (2 years now) and yes you do have to wait til tomorrow, the good thing about being a subscriber is you can get all of the latest demos & game patches at fullspeed without waiting in any lines, plus it allows you to d/l high res versions of gameplay videos etc.

I get 550kb/s on fileplanet's public servers. I think I'd rather wait in line

i get 3-400 kb/s on gamespots free DLs....you must have crap net

Err.. I usualy get 600KB/sec - 1MB/sec off gamespot ,I admit I do get faster speeds off IGNs Insider downloads but 600KB/sec as a minimum aint bad either.
