3dmark2001se scores and stuff...

ok, i ran 3dmark2k1se and got 9954 3d marks with my r8500 128mb 3.3ns. i am about to turn the speed from 275/275 to 300/320 and see what happens....

p4 1.6a @ 2.32
8IRXP
1gb 2-2-2 mushkin and nanya pc2100 ddr
WD800JB
R8500 (not LE, yuck!)

ill post again in a few miuntes to see what happens after the overclock.

EDIT: i turned the CPU to 2.4 @ default for the last overclock....

ok well i turned it up to 300/300 just to take this in steps. so right now i have this....

275/275 = 9954
300/300 = 10082
310-320/320-330 = untested!


i dont know how high i can get it.....ill try now

w00t! pretty l33t if i do say so myself. now i need to pop in a ti4600 and see if i can top 13 grand 🙂


anyone else have any experience with a r8500 on a system similar? im curious to know your scores


at 320/335 i was getting all kinds of artifacts and eventually a lock up. i am going to install RAMsinks later tonight and put some ASIII on the GPU HSF....see if this helps any. i will tell you guys what happens later if anyone cares to look at this again.

i just tried it at the highest clock speed on 2x AA and got 6935

Turn off V-Sync and AA. Boost your score.

how do you turn off v sync.....and i dont like AA, i just put it on to play around 🙂


is 10299 a good score? i do not know where to compare it....

There is an online results browser, that's what I use. It lets you compare by CPU speed or video card. Lets you know where you stand. I was #2 in my CPU class when I had my XP 1800 rig 😛

woot put some RAMsinks on the ram and pumped it up a few mhz, stablized some settings and got..

10404! woot!

its a little bit of a jump 🙂
