3dmark06's CPU score for AMD a64 3500+

In my gaming rig, an AMD (see sig), the cpu's score in 3dmark06 never went above 1000 (around 900'ish to be exact). Although the total 3dmark06 score is around 5200. Is it still too low for an a64 3500+ Venice?
