I am new to taking performance measurements, so bear with me. I downloaded the demo version of 3dmark06. I ran the performance test and it completed. I have a few questions on the test:

1. Is there supposed to be sound when the videos are playing?
2. Is the CPU test supposed to run about 1-2 FPS?
3. How decent is a score of 9008 with the rig below? I want to be sure I don't have a drastic issue with my rig.

Asus P5W DH Deluxe
E6300 oc'd to 2.8GHz
Mushkin HP6400 (2x1GB)
eVGA 8800GTS 640MB

1. No.

2. Yes.

3. Pretty good. I only get 7,200 on my GTS8800 320mb on my Opteron 144 @ 2.8ghz.

I have a feeling that it's very CPU-limited, especially at the default resolution, which explains why you score so much higher than I do.

u get a lot more points for dual core... from a 2.8 opty to a 2.5 x2 cpu score went from 1081 to 1855, everything else stayed the same...

overall went from 4454 to 4953... x1800xt vid...

with a 8800gts at 643/1960 and an a64@3.0 gets 7631, 1151 cpu score...

My scores are always right around 9000, and theres no difference in cpu score for me going from 2.6Ghz to 2.7Ghz(1987ish), rather disappointing. Current card clocks are 650/775(1550). Just having problems after running 3DMark06 and submitting my results, it's like my browser (FireFox) hits a switch and instantly freezes my pc, weird....
EDIT/UPDATE: Upped voltages for my ram and cpu, 2.9v and 1.5v respectively and the locking up stopped. Set my 7950's to 663/801(1602) and scored 9099 in 3DMark06.
