Scored 5070 running stock.

My question is why does it drop the frame rate right down to 1 - 2 fps after the first run, The picture does not look like AA has been enabled as the edges are very jaggered.

Whats going on?

You mean the CPU tests? Thats when it tries to make the cpu render everything, so none of the eye candy is enabled, and you get really low frame rates.

That explains it - a bit of a stink way to test the CPU if you ask me , getting it to do a specialized task like that.

Will let it run through again tonight on some higher settings and see how it looks.

05 does tests differently than 03. You can't get the score from 05 and compare it to an 03 score. You can only compare your 05 score with other people's 05 scores (or if you have multiple test results...)

I just figure that 05 takes into account newer technologies...like the 6-series geforce cards...if you want to benchmark your modern technology with yesterday's benchmarks, go ahead ;-)

05 is a slide show on the final 2 tests on anything but sli i imagine. 1-2 fps on a 6800gt is normal and 5,000 is fine for your specs.

The whole point of the last 2 tests is that the test the CPU, so the graphics card shouldn't matter. You'll get 1-2 fps on them using almost any system there is today.
