I was wondering why my new setup does so poorly in 3DMark05.
I upgraded to an Athlon 3200 cpu and an MSI K8T NEO FIS2R board with 512 meg
of OCZ ddr400 ram. I also went with a wd 80 gig sata drive and an ATI RADEON
9800 PRO. What should i be getting ? The cpu tests run at 1 fps and the rest at
around 3 to 5 fps. 3DMark03 scores are way up from before, around 6000 plus.
Is there something not set properly someware ? The cpu score is what concerns
me.
 
Sounds like you are right where you are supposed to be. 05 is a very demanding bench and even high end hardware scores between 5 and 8k.

Check Futuremark's Database to see what other people are getting with similar systems.
 
I have almost the same setup as you, I'm guessing your '05 scores are around the 2300-2400 range?
 
2335 without running the cpu tests. It's the cpu tests that are strange. 1 to 2 fps.
Any idea why ?
The rest of the benchmarks are inline with the setup i have.
 
Just out of couriosity what are cpu scores in general. How do the the high end cpus
do. FX-53 ect......
