athlon64 socket 939 3000 @ 2.4Ghz
epox 9nda3+
gig of mushkin 3500 level 2
6800GT @ ultra

score--4620

now i have 1 more question, in my project details, it says my core on my video card is only 350, but i overclocked it to 400  my memory clock is accurate, but it says by GPU clock is slower than it is...is this 3dmarks problem or mine?

You've got a pretty decent rig, but your score seems a bit low, what drivers are you using? IIRC, the 6800 Ultra scores ~5000 Marks, check the ORB, it should give you an idea of what you should score.
I don't know about your core clock problem, though. Are you sure it's set to overclock at startup? If not it will revert back to its stock clocks when you restart.

**UPDATE**

WTF??

as you can see it clearly says that my core is at 406MHZ, but 3dmark05 only sees the stock 350...but the memory speeds are accurate. whats going on?

Better than me. I just ran 3dmark05 and got a 2084. I have a 3200+ @ 2.5, 1GB, 6800oc w/pipes and shader unlocked. From what I can gather, this is really awful.

Maybe its a bug in 3DMark. Try 3DMark03.
Your drivers are the latest official ones, did you check the ORB to compare your scores?

Looks like you've got a serious problem there! Your score should be in the 4000s
Have you installed the latest mobo chipset drivers? What's your AGP speed, AGP Aperture size, and video card drivers?

Your chipset drivers and all setup fine?

I get over double that and I have a Mobile Barton @ 2.3ghz, and a BFG 6800 OC.

Make sure no other programs are running in the background during the CPU tests. I got a ~4700 score, but the CPU tests killed me. Average FPS was 1 or 2 :p. To have things running in the background would mean during the CPU tests you may actually be going lower than 1 FPS.

What drivers are you using. Make sure you are NOT using the latest, you need to make sure you use the ones that are meant for benchmarking (ie futuremark approved drivers) otherwise your score will be really low.

you are most likely oc 3d only, while 3dmark is reporting the 2d.

yes your score is low. should get ~5000 like mentioned above.

OMG I am screwed then. Just got my new rig going... AMD64 3200 939 chip... MSI neo2 Plat... 1GIG of RAM and ATI Sapphire 9800 Pro 128M running on WinXP and after 3 tries I get a 1724 average for my score. I noticed that I had manually set the AA and AF to what I thought were off or lowest but that obviously was wrong. Turned that to let application Pref and now I get 2100. Wow what the hell is wrong with my machine? Using the latest Cat Drivers from ATI so that might be the case and btw I am clocking my 3200 AMD64 to 2300Mhz. Hum Fast Writes is off... latest Nforce3 drivers.. ugh.. I have an MSI Nvidia GeForce3 Ti500 lying around... gona try that for kicks. I really want to see if it's my setup or indeed my video card.

I am reading folks are getting 5000??? Wow... I need to fix something bad.

try benchmarking with some games first before you get all worried... if your games run at the FPS they are suppose to get, then you will be fine!

BoboKatt, the 9800Pro doesn't score 5000! It scores somewhere in the 2000s, my 9800Pro scores 2450, still your score is a bit low.

i was overclocking in 2d mode, not 3d. so as soon as 3dmark would boot up, it would just be default GT clocks, and not the ultra clocks like i wanted.

updated score = ~5200.
