I just ran 3dmark03 last night (free version), and I got a score of 4661, it seems low considering my system specs (below).
I know my video card is older and ASUS told me not to expept optimal performance base on the 9700 pro serial number I gave them (which I got off the card). Would my video card be able to bottleneck the system down that much?
Also could it be that I have the free version so they want me to buy the real one?

The free version and the "real one" should make no difference in framerates you have gotten.

Honestly, your score seems okay to me, I think around 5-6k was the area the 5900s and the 9800s were getting at.

You can do a search on the ORB, and you can compare your score to others.

without knowing how your system is setup ,,, how can we tell...?
How "old" the card is has no bearing on this ...
(I got one of the 1st shipments to USA)

My 9700pro is overclocked... 6,571

Your system and CPU also has a factor in the score.

I was getting around 5,900 with my OC at 360/ 340

I dont have a stock speed score for you ...
(My guess is 5,500 at stock)

My cpu score came in at 883 but has ranged from 870 - 890 other benchmarks for the same cpu have been right around 880 aswell. So my cpu is on track...
While my 3dmark03 has been between 4637 - 4661.
I just think my video card is bogging up the system.

hmm seems ok......my friend got one of the first 9700pros and his does about 5100 at stock speeds an he got a much older mobo with only the nforce 3 150 chipset, and hes running 1.5gb of ram which has been slowed to only 333mhz coz A64 cant handle al the dimm slots being filled.

It's a bit low, but in the right range. Drivers might have something to do with it. But i was right around the 5k mark when i had a 9700.

sorry, the score seems in the ballpark. I get a little higher (I think but haven't ran it with the latest drivers), with my 9700pro. I beat the game several months ago. Don't forget some of those high scores you see are with settings at lowest quality.

True. I always use the same settings. (Performance settings)
(quality good enough for me)
But, everything else is App Pref.

I've really tweaked the heck out of this card.

1. GPU vmod to reach 410 / 375
2. GPU has NorthPole HSF unit
3. Memory has Alpha fins
4. BIOS tweaks (fsb and memory timings)
