3DMark Score

Hi guys,

Here's my system specification:

E6750 running at 3.0GHZ
Gigabyte P35 DS3R
EVGA 8800GT 512MB
2GB crucial Ballistix
500GB HDD

The 3Dmark06 score I'm getting is around 10,000. Maximum is 10,600 (resolution = 1440 x 900). Min is 7,700 (1680x1050).

I've seen members with the same setup hitting 13,000+

To be honest, I have a feeling that my 8800GT is not performing as well as it should. Thus, the reason for me doing the 3Dmark testing.

Usually after a brief gaming session, when I return to Internet browsing, my monitor becomes weird. Scan lines of some sort appears on the top half of my monitor. I don't know the proper term for this issue, but I think the video card may be overheating or is not refreshing properly. (Could it be "artifacting"? Can someone explain that term to me?")

3DMark weighs a lot in your processor. I get 9500-ish on my E6400 @ stock 2.13GHz (too lazy to OC, 😛) and I get great frames in games.

Your 3DMark score looks fine, though I wouldn't worry about it too much to be honest. Are you also doing the test at 1280 x 1024, that's the "standard" resolution for 3DMark...see what you get on that resolution.

.

God I can barely make that at 3GHz with my processor. Sad. Though 3dmark means about jack squat.

saikit, that is not the default resolution for the benchmark. the default is 1280x1024, try running it at that and see what your score is.

here are my results with my E6600 AT 2.9ghz and my video card overclocked to 700 core and 2000 memory

3DMark Score 10220 3DMarks
SM2.0 Score 4369
HDR/SM3.0 Score 4839
CPU Score 2500
that is at the default resolution

hmm...your graphics card scores are lower than they should be..

an 8800GT should be getting about 5.5k+ on the 2 tests.

and your processor is about right lol.
