I just ran a test using 3DMark 2001 SE and when it was done it simply said "You achieved a score of 738" or something like that.. Is that it? I want those cool graphics bars where it says framerates and results in more detail. How would I go about displaying that?
 
Next time click the Online Result Browser button. You'll have to register if you haven't before, then you'll be able to compare your scores to other folks.

Here's my score for example.

I forget if there's a way to do that without the online thing. I've always just used the ORB..

738 is on par with a 500-600MHz cpu with a TNT2.
 
i used to get 600 with my voodoo5 5500 and celeron 550. but for some reason it always beat the geforce256 in games eventhough the geforce crushed it in the 3dmarks
 
I don't understand whats wrong with this computer... for those if you who couldn't see my system, it's a celeron 900, 392MB SDRAM and a geforce 2mx400 card with 64MB of memory. Does it matter what resolution you run the 3dmark test in? I used 1024x768 and 4xAA (if I didn't use AA it couldn't even get a score)
 
There's the explanation: using AA is bound to seriously lower your score on that card. No idea why you couldn't run it at all without AA enabled... 😕

With AA off you should be able to attain a score in the region of 2000

Oh and to find in-depth scores, fps etc, there's a "Details" button somewhere.
 
If you're going to run the test to compare with other people, you should use whatever is default. Some people run it in 640x480 just to get the highest possible score.

I'll try running it again at default settings without AA and see if it works.. thanks for all the tips 🙂
 
I wouldn't pay attention to what others can achieve in 3dmark. You don't "need" sh!t, unless the games you play, or would like to play, don't/wouldn't run as well as you'd like them to.

I know.. I am getting a new computer soon.. Some of the games I'm playing/want to play don't exactly run smoothly right now 🙂
But my P4 3GHz, with 1GB of DDR RAM, Radeon 9800 gfx board etc. should get here anytime now 🙂
