3DMark 2001 install problem.

WTF! Anyone else have this problem? I'm running DX8 not DX8A and a V3 2K with the latest drivers(LOL latest drivers LOL)on WinME.

I didnt have any problems. try intalling DX8a

Well I just D/L DX8A and installed with the same results. I'm felling kinda left out of the big hoopla. :disgust:

Same problem here, Win2K and a V3-2K PCI, running latest(DX8) drivers and DX8a.

Mine freezes during the texture conversion process.

I tried installing while online and still have the same problem.

I found a way. Set your video card to 16bit color and then install. After installation, set back to 32bit. It worked for me.

Yeah I just figured it out too. Make sure you set textures to 16 bit or it'll look like crap. Pulled off a 1990 score first time out.
