I've been benchmarking my system but I only get a score of 1000. I'm using DirectX 8.0 with Det 6.47 drivers. I have a Geforce2 MX and 256MB of RAM. I've tried killing the apps that load up on startup, tweaking my MX, and overclockong my processor and MX. A score of 1000 is the best I can get. Any ideas how I can get it higher or is this the norm W2k???

I feel for ya. I had windows me on my computer then changed to win2k, the performance of all the test dropped alot. I was expecting the scores and fps to go down because 9x is faster but my 3dbenchmarks took about a 1500-2000 hit. Everything i do to correct this, doesnt help. I know the marks arent that important, but it sucks nevertheless. I also tried to tweak my geforce with almost everything i could find. Changing from high quality to fastest and back again, until I gave up and just defaulted everything again. No matter what i cut off or on on my video card, or in windows itself i still cant get even close to the scores i got with windows9x.

sorry i couldnt be any help, but if you find a way to fix your problem let me know.

Give it up 3DMark works horribly in Win2K. I lost 2000 marks in Win2K but lost 1FPS in Deus Ex... shows you how well it works eh?

Dont feel bad, I'm only getting 960ish with 3dmark2000 on my win2k system. Not that it's the ultimate gaming rig or anything but my FPS surely does not warrant a 960...

well sorry to hear the bad news for you guys. Well it is know that 98 does better in 3dmark but is it really worth it for all the crashes u get?? Personally I love win2k and with my overclocked celly(600@962) and my voodoo 3 3000 PCI(dont ask) at 188 I get a score of 3157. Hey its not bad for me but just wait till i get my new ram and geforce mx

I scored 6264 with 3Dmark 2000.

I do have the 7.17 Nvidia reference drivers which are supposed to take advantage of DirectX 8 features to boost performance.

I just loaded those. Now I get a whopping 1040. Something's gotta be F'd up with my setup but I don't know what.
