3dmark 2000 score

[fastvideo]

i saw some post that they got over 5000 to 7000 with 3dmak2000.
my k7/500 classis @850 with matrox g400 got only 2850.
duron 600 @900 with a cheap tnt2/m64 got only 2044.
c566 @850 with voodoo banshee got only 1485.

does that mean i need a gforce 256 or something better to get those score???

the matrox g400 gets low scores on 3dmark2000. for processors running at 1000mhz, these are average scores:
geforce2 gts - 7444
geforce ddr - 5815
voodoo5 5500 - 4831
matrox g400 - 3226

my setup is a PIII at stock speeds and a GeForce 2 GTS at stock speeds
(for 3DMark test) and i got "57xx"

not too bad at all

Just went up to 805 on the CPU and 215/360 on the GTS and i got 6547
