3DMark 05 scores...

first time i ran it i thought my score sucked because i had 3,939 while some poeple with same or a little lower specs got 5,000 or more....

Then i realized that their specs were with default settings, while i had 4xAA and 8xAF and 1280x1024 and all things high and crap like that....

so now my score is: 5,545

So, is my assumption right that those peoples scores are with defaults on???
i dont really care about benchmarks but its been bugging me, so is that a good score......

(My specs are in my sig)

Seems fine, but who cares about 3dmark?

lol... well noone does if they have a system like in your sig:roll:

Normally I wouldn't reply to this because I'm above letting my penis size be attached to my PC, but I feel some calrification is needed.

3dmark is not a game. It is not based on any major game engine(s), with the possible exception of the use of Havok physics.

Therefore, I see no merit to the program other than to stress-test a system, especially GPU overclocks, or possibly as a diagnostic to make sure the system is performing roughly on par. If one can play all the games one wants at acceptable detail levels, then benchmarks obviously don't matter.

Therefore, "my 3dmark is bigger than yours" is obviously just an extension of the same male dick-size insecurity that leads to things like locker-room posturing in high school, war, professional sports, and paying $500 for a GPU with features that won't be leveraged until something faster and less expensive is available. It's really rather kind of sad.

So anyway, if the purpose of this thread was to determine if the OPs system is operating properly, it would appear so. Otherwise, 3dmark score comparisons are pretty useless.

And that's what he was doing. He put up this expensive system together, and ran a benchmark to compare his system to others with similar specs... he noticed he was about about 50% performance less than other people with the same system, so something was wrong there. Turned out it wasn't his computer, but the setting he had it on.

I guess this is where your 'ignorance is bliss' comes into play right? If you don't know how your system SHOULD be performing, then you should be happy. He could have been playing at 30fps, and be happy, even though his system really should have been running at 45fps right?

What's sad to me is the obvious jealousy in your posts that are disguised as somebody elses faults. Aw yeah, it's real sad how somebody can afford a $500 videocard without a blink of an eye, but you can't.

The people who say size doesn't matter, are the people with small penises.

Heh, ok son, you go ahead and think what you want. I'm certainly not going to try and change your mind. Ciao.
