Well if anyone actually clicked on dfloyd's link...absolute is making the card as described...black pcb...gold heatsinks...wooden box...but it's a damn GF3.

Dave, while Im sure you are(as allways) under about 5 gazillion NDA's, can you at least tell us, do you personally think the BitBoys will ever come out with a product, or will they just be another of them companies that make alot of fuzz, having promise, but then eventually sends that one last PR about chap 11, and get forgotten?

DaveB3D is absorbed. 😉 I know a gal in the marketing/promotions/developer relations-type area that was also ex-3dfx. We started chatting before the merger - she was all set to send off 3dfx promotion stuff before the takeover... leaving me high and dry. :| (Certainly not her fault - she's still an awesome gal!) She's working on nVidia to do the same but apparently nVidia is a little tighter with the purse strings...
 
I can't say how long.. I know how long, I just can't say it. 🙂 So I think that is a positive thing though.

Keep in mind that Bitboys is no longer the 3 person company they were for a VERY long time..
 
dave - nothing about extremetech? no comments about working in the corporate computer review world? or was that freelancing?
 
Anyone else remember when Bitboys got a $3 or 4 million dollar cash infusion from another company? Anyone remember who that was? I forget... 😱 I think that little deal may be the backbone of Bitboys Oy today. (They should change that - the initials are BO!) B.O. = Body Odour = stinkiness... not good marketing.

I'm interested to see how your stuff will compete in the 3D graphics market. Competition is good for the consumer.
 
That was just freelance. Though I have been offered full-time positions from others.

btw, if anyone is wondering, the reason I was interested in work at Bitboys is that I was doing some contract work for them originally and so I knew what they were up to before hand....

just figured if the guys form 3dfx were building a new card you would be in on it. bitboys is an interesting carrer move thoug. i hope it pans out well for you, and for the rest of us to😉
