3DFX Glide For Counterstrike?

Anyone ever find any programs or wrappers that allow you to use 3dfx glide in counterstrike..yesterday I was thinking maybe replacing the opengl driver for cs and renaming my glide driver to opengl and trying to play..i knwo they have a program called OpenGlide but its for converting glide to opengl so thier must be a way to enable glide in counterstrike..it would look great! anyone help?

Yea, I don't quite understand the need....after all, on the older 3dfx cards, isn't OpenGL already basically running through a wrapper(aka the miniGL drivers)? So why re-wrapper it?

The wickedGL drivers do just that - they translate OpenGL calls to glide for the Voodoo cards. However, on a Voodoo3 and up, the recent 3dfx drivers were within a few fps of the WickedGL drivers. Wicked3d.com is the site.

The WickedGL drivers do that, but..they FPS is lower. No visual boost either. I think you are best sticking to OGL with the MiniGL driver.

I don't think this would work, because the drivers don't work in the same way. I also don't understand the reason you would want to run Counter-Strike under Glide. OpenGL is much better at this point then Glide is, and glide is doing nothing but coughing up blood. Sticking with OpenGL would prolly be your best bet.
