That's truly a great collection, but you're missing the card I have: ObsidianX 24

Yes, I have it, quite an impressive card at the time, but useless now. Any takers?

Having the 6000 in there is very notable... some ePay-ers would pay an awful lot to have one..... :Q

I've got something you don't have :p

You're missing the Voodoo 3 2000 PCI

;)

Nice collection though, especially the 6000, which I saw go on Ebay a couple months back for a few hundred $!

here is my 3dfx collection

diamond voodoo1
metabyte voodoo2
another metabyte voodoo2
creative voodoo2
STB voodoo3 2000 pci
STB voodoo5 5500 AGP
another STB voodoo5 5500 agp

dang what i want is a voodoo5 6000. i wish those things would have been massed produced. i would love to run quake 3 at 8x hardware anti alianising 2 years ago. what would have been even better is if 3dfx had released Rampage, which was a completely new architecture way differant from the other voodoos. they had a prototype and it was extremelyl powerfull. it would still be a force to be reconed with today and that was a few years back. there are a few pictures of it floating around.

If you plugged them all in at the same time it might come close to a Radeon 9000 Pro :)

Nice collection though. You covered every chipset. There are a few other cards which you might look for (PCI V3, PCI banshee, V5 5000 32MB, etc).

lol NICE!!! I am also the pround owner of a voodoo 4500 32mb and 3000 16mb, which are both still in use. I still play some GLIDE games and nothing runs a GLIDE game better then those old voodoos. In fact my voodoo 4500 gets 200fps in this GLIDE game whereas my Radeon 9700 only gets 70fps!

I am surprised to hear you have a 6000. I thought there were only a few boards made or something? I love the audacity of that design. It screams HOT ROD!!!!

talk about supercharged! That sucker needs racing or something.

Do you actually use it? Are you using a external power supply or reworked internal?

Me too. That was a killer card.
I had a Compaq K6-2 380 with 4 MB onboard video and no AGP slot. Picked up the Voodoo 3 2000 PCI for 90 bucks at Circuit City, must have been about 3 or 4 years ago. It was one hell of an upgrade. Made Quake 2 and Rogue Spear run really nice.

Actually, I've still got that machine. I just got my extra NIC's in the mail a couple of days ago and I'll be hooking it up to my Athlon XP1700/ GF3 box tonight. Definitely won't be able to play BF1942, but hopefully JK2 will run decent enough to have some lighsaber battles with my 8 yr old.

I'll always be nostalgic for 3DFX. They revolutionized 3D gaming.

Will that fit in my Shuttle XPC? *bang*bang*snap*crunch* Sure!! After snapping it in half and stuffing the other bit into the PCI slot it fits great! :p

If he did that, he'd probably cause a blackout.

You can't post a picture directly, however there are some free pichosting services run by members here, such as http://pichosting.pcthike.com

Sign up for an accout, then follow the instructions to upload a picture, then create a link here, by using the HTTP button when posting a message :)

-there is a V5 5000 32mb?
