Its sooo tempting even though it could be a "value" series.

Keep in mind that its close to $200 cheaper than the leading 7800GTs...

And to think I just purchased my 6800GT for $30 less makes me want to cry if this turns out to be a good card/company.

Well, you pretty much guess it right. Since nvidia don't sell pre-binned gpu to any manufacturer and Albatron is not OEM for BFG anymore, BFG need to bin it themselves. To sustain a high end line, there must be budget line to dump the inventory that don't make it into the OC speed. As a result, 3dFUzion is just a line to dump the gpu that doesn't make to the OC spec of BFG branded product lines.

This is cannot be true.
I have this exact 3Dfuzion board and my overclocks are equivilent if not better than a GTX. No volt mods either.

EDIT: There's also a FAQ on their webpage that says, the max resolution using the DVI output is 1600x1200...wth?

I noticed that, too.

Q. Is there a maximum resolution for the DVI output?

A. Yes, it is 1600x1200

http://www.3dfuzion.com/support.asp#14

Seems odd when other 7800s can do 1920 x 1200 with single-link DVI and up to 2560 x 1600 with dual-link DVI.

I don't see a date on that FAQ (FAQs should always be dated), but it looks out of date to me. I notice that the FAQ only mentions AGP & PCI, not PCI-E. I seriously doubt their 7800GT is that crippled compared to other cards, but it would be nice to have a confirmation. I don't see a max rez listed on 3DFuzion's card specs page.

BINNED GPUs ??? That's a scary thought. Perhaps this really isn't such a hot deal. Still, if the cards do meet stock 7800 GT specs and perform properly it isn't a bad deal, but it does give one pause. Perhaps the $330 Chaintech with Painkiller would be a better deal since it doesn't carry the risk of getting a binned GPU.

Looking at the specs on the website, I'm not even sure this is up to 7800gt stock speeds (without overclocking). Ok, nevermind. I guess 3DFuzion is the only manufacturer that doesn't factory overclock their 7800gt.

I called 3DFuzion tech support at 877-300-8869 and spoke to Mike, who confirmed that their 7800GT does in fact support rez up to 2048 x 1536. The FAQ is out of date.

Naming the company BFG was an awesome marketing move.

For those who don't know, the BFG was the most powerful gun in the original Doom game and it also made an appearance in Quake II. The BFG was the "Big Fuxxing Gun".
