3dcool.com Tornado cases.

Those cases are so over priced I have know idea why anyone buys them. The tornado 2000 case is $175 and it`s just an In-win Q500 full tower case that can be bought for $60 with two fans on the side cover! They are ripping people off.

Damn right! A friend of mine bought one - paid around $230 w/ shipping. Needless to say, it was a pretty damn stupid purchase, especially since Antec and Fong Kai make awesome full towers for half the price; Full towers that have cooling equal to or better than the 3dcool case.

I have one and it is the best case I have ever owned........ And it has 4 80mm fans in it not two. So for someone who does not have the tools or the time to cut holes in there case then its not such a bad buy. The time i spend going out to get the tools and fans and the case then the money for the parts and tools I would be out more then $175 bucks so I guess its boils down to how you look at it.. Just my 2 cents........

Never could understand who in their right mind would buy such overpriced cases. But if you have the money, why not? Actually, I still wouldn't buy them if I had the money~. 😉

Unless you have no tools, and have no access to tools, a 3dcool case is definately not worth the money.

An Antec SX830 provides very good stock cooling, for a much lower price. As does the Fong-Kai.

If need be, you can get a Full Tower Addtronics 7896(which has better stock cooling than any of the above prices) for less than a 3dCool Tornado 2000.

The Q500 is a good case, but it certainly is not worth the premium they charge(not to mention the additional premium of adding a 300W power supply). Besides, its more fun to mod your own case.

The case makes me happy so it is well worth it... I love my case I love my case I looooooooooooove my case. Its only money.

Then go ahead and keep buying them. For the rest of us, we'd probably rather spend the money on an All-aluminum Lian-Li case, or a much-higher quality Addtronics case. Or go with a cheaper but just as good Antec SX1030/830 case. Or mod our own.

NO one is stopping you from loving your case. I'm sure it is a good case, as I said above, the q500 is a good case. But it is not worth over $200 for 4 $9 Fans, 4 $1.50 Grills, and a 1 $60 Case and some holes. If you feel like you want to spend double the money over an antec, then so be it.

Yep I rember a while back saying wow I wish I had the money for one of these bad boys. THen I ordered a SX830, and went back to 3dcool.com and saw that these are no more then just plain old cases with two holes cut in them!

What do you need to modify a case to have the two extra fans on the side like the Tornado 1000? I didn't want to make a new thread for this, so any advice would be nice. My computers have been runnning really hot lately and I would like to get more fans in, but not destroy my case. Any directions or links would be nice. Thanks.
