3D Windows?

I recently was shown Sphere XP, a 3D desktop for XP.

If you get the chance to try it out, I highly recommend it--it's pretty cool. My question though is if this is the 3D concept that MS is supposedly developing? If so, will it be integrated into Longhorn? If you can imagine Sphere XP with all the windows in real time, it would be revolutionary.
 
What would help humans interface with information.... make it sphere form... NOT

I would understand schoolbooks much better in sphere form!

This is for people who want SCI-FI at home... doesn't really seem useful

This has been around for a while, but it's not really spherical, just kinda angular. I don't think I could get used to looking at things at an angle.
 
Intiuitive touch-screen interfaces might be better.
I'd love a touch-screen thing for reading the newspaper, rather than dealing with a huge sheet of paper.
