3D Screensaver?

I was just wondering the other day how much damage I'm doing to my vid card by having my 3DAquarium as my screensaver...i have standby after 10 minutes but does that turn off the video card or just output?? If so, no wonder my ati melted...
 
not sure guv- but i think 3dAquarium just hates 9800 pros.

No, really it killed my first one- left it running one night- came back, and there were these funky artifacts all over the screen 😛 It wouldn't even show the XP boot splash properly..but i got it replaced on warranty- and uninstalled Aquarium 🙂

I had 3D Aquirium it never hurt my monitor but now it is not worth because my monitor will turn off automatically to save the engry.
 
well, i've never had a problem with graphics card melting because of a screensaver. graphics card should be able to run 24/7 without damage.
