Asus as a new one ASUS VG278HE Black 27", I just wondered if I got could use this for TV and the PS-3.
Or dose the 3d just work for games only?
 
I'm pretty certain 3D works over HDMI as well because I believe the "set your screen size" popped up when I turned on my Playstation 3 that's attached to my VG278. That screen will only show up when the PS3 detects that it's attached to a 3D display via HDMI.
 
Just beware because PC monitors for the most part have horrible upscaling ability. This means that your PS3 is going to look like absolute crap, and any tv you watch that isn't in 1080p is also going to look bad.
