3D MARK 2000 (CPU MARKS)

I have 2 friends that have PIII-700's and their CPU marks are 320 - 440
mine is only 220 or so . . n e help is appreciated

uh this is where i thought only the cpu/ram came into place
they both have gts2s
i have a v770 ultra . .
so is that why?

I think that is the problem....The benchmark still uses the video card during the cpu test's.

Well i spose one way to tell is to get some sort of "CPU Benchmark" program. Its just annoying thinking that i mighta got ripped off. Hmm, thanx for your help.:)

I just ran the cpu test only choosing AMD 3Dnow I scored 175 with D3D Hardware T&L I scord 422 so yes the video card plays a big role in the CPU test.

You can check the details of my rig (the Behemoth) by clicking on the link in my profile, but I scored a 242 on the CPUMark.

I've come to the conclusion that RAM and Videocard are factors in the benchmark, because I know a few people with a similar setup but with better vidcards and their CPUmarks are significantly higher.

Sysoft Sandra is an excellent benchmarking and system analysis tool, only I lost the URL to the company that makes it. Anybody got a URL handy?
