I have all my default settings still on. Vid card and cpu no overclocking. The score is 11183. I have been out of the loop too long how does this score look?

I'd say that score rocks. I get 5600 with my 9800 Pro.

Ok here are the specs.

Athlon 64 3200+
Crucial ballistix Ram 1gig pc 400
XFX 6800 series GPU PCI-E
Windows XP
66.93 drivers from N-vidia.

One big question though. Why does 3d mark see what is supposed to be a 6800 GT as a 6800 series GPU????

I have a 6800GT and using the same drivers as you, thats about what my score is, so looks right to me. A 6800GT is a 6800 series GPU...

Yeah, "series" refers to all cards in the same model number family (and sometimes includes intermediaries like 5950). So a 6800 series GPU would include the 6800LE (I've seen a few of these sold as stand-alone cards), 6800, 6800GTO (IIRC this is a card only for manufacturers like Dell), 6800GT, 6800U, and 6800UE.
