3Com vs Xircom

I'm looking to buy a combo NIC/modem for my laptop. I'm debating whether to go with the Xircom Realport 10/100 +56k or the 3Com 10/100 +56k w/ Xjack. I can get the Xircom for a lot less money and I like the connectors on it better, but I'm worried about network compatibility, performance, and stability with it. I've never had any trouble with any of my 3Com cards. Would the Xircom card be compatible with my 3Com network? Does Xircom make a good card? Which should I go with? Thanks

I'm currently using a Xircom Realport 10/100 +56k. It rocks 🙂 Never used the 3com personally, so I can't give any opinion of that...

get the Xircom. I personally own the 3COM nic with Xjack and I don't know if it's me or the Xjack, but after six months of use the pins on the Xjack is all bent out of shape.
