3com nic with 3xp processor...

meaty

Banned
I just purchases a 3com etherlink 10/100 NIC ( model # 3cr990-tx-97).
I installed it on my winXP system & I go to surf the net & about 2 seconds into it a blue screen then it reboots?
The system reboots before I can read the blue screen , there is alot of text on the screen?

HELP!

Meaty, the text in the blue screen is placed in a dmp file. I can't remember what folder it is located in, but you can search for a *.dmp file, then open it in notepad. It should tell you what device or driver caused the reboot.

How could just a new nic do this?
Its the same brand I have in atm, just the new one has the onboard cpu.
