3COM 3C905-TX NIC Doesnt work in A7A266, Help!

Hey,
I cant get my NIC to work on this board. Ive tried all the PCI Slots, disabled ACPI, manually setting IRQ as well as setting various bios options. Still no go. It detects the card no problem, but it wouldnt receive data. The network/hub/cable is working well, so its not that. Im using the latest bios, the Beta 1005 beta 5, and ive tried the official 1004. Im using Win2k with ALI drivers. Any ideas?
 
Does that mobo have an on-board NIC? Have you disabled it?

If you're really stuck, call 3Com. Their tech support kicks *ss.
 
How many of your slots are you using right now? Do you have a modem installed in one of the pci slots? Use the 4th or 5th pci slot then click the "install new hardware" icon in control panel. must be a 2000 thing because mine went without a hitch with Win 98 S.E.
