Just to clear things up, it's $399.00 IF you get their Visa card plus 2 MIR's, which makes it an OK deal, $499.00 without Visa which makes it borderline cold.

If you intent on signing for their Visa, I'd recommend this T20instead, it has a bit slower CPU (700 vs 800),but bigger HDD (12GB vs 10GB) and a DVD-ROM drive instead of CD-ROM. Same rebates/conditions apply.

Thanks for the deal Deleted member 139972.

Personally any new credit card account is cold due to the likely FICO score hit and impact of that. As FICO scores become more important, this could cost you hundreds on an auto loan/insurance, thousands on a mortgage, or even a that new job.

Kinda looking for an X series or similar anyway.

FICO score hit....impact of it.....minimal if you are not getting several new cards in a hurry....have not put in any other credit apps or are not in running your credit up high. If someone is worried about that, they probably should not be getting the laptop anyway.

IBM does make some kick butt laptops!
