You could try pulling the trigger while aiming at your leg.

If it stings, its a BB Gun. It your leg shatters into a bloody mess, it was real.
 
toy guns have the orange platic. bb guns can look like real guns. i have an issue of American Handgunner sitting hre that details several of them that are modeled after real guns and look exactly like their real life counterparts. some even have a blowback slide!

so yeah, its very possible that its a BB gun.

Based on the stamp of the slide, it looks real to me, i don't think a bb gun would say 9mm on it, it should say what type of bb/pellet cal., but I could be wrong.
 
I would say it's a toy, google the serial number.

Lots of hits from airsoft sites.

Even if it was real, why are you so afraid of a gun?

i guess so. if its plastic it would be easy to saw off.
any pictures with the gun pointed at the camera or a way to see the bore?
