Always love the start-ups. The pic showing case from the side and the pic showing the fan are not the same case. Notice the number of vent holes. Plus the 'expanded' view looks to be tied into someone's e-bay picture storage. :)

None the less, looks to be great deal for east coasters. If I didn't have two cases that I just 'emptied', I'd pick it up.

285watts on the 3.3+5 rails!? Ok, call me skeptical but I really find that hard to believe. You're telling me they're selling a 400w PSU that's, according to them, "high quality" w/ a case for only 40 bucks WHILE an antec 400w psu only has 245watts on it's 3.3+5 rails combined and the cost is about 70-80 bucks just for this psu alone?! wtf?? It sounds almost too good to be true...[/i] >>

Actually, it is too good to be true. Just got this yesterday and the total power on +3.3v+5v rails is listed as 180watts MAX. Not very good for a "400watt" power supply but should be acceptable for most processors. The case is worth what I paid for it, but probably not much more. The tooless design is very cheap in design, the side panels push into place but the way there designed I would still use the screws in back to hold it on, nothing smooth fitting here. The panels can be very difficult to remove it seems that you have to pop off the front plastic cover to get a good grip on the top side, pull out the top then you have to lift the cover up to get the bottom out.

There is a 80mm fan mounting area in the front of the case. The rear fan : you must use there supplied funnel fan because theres no where to mount a normal fan. The fan is removable from the shroud, so it can be replaced (80mm) but the shroud is needed to mount on case. The rails are a thin metal rail that have two tabs that are pushed into the screwholes of your component(no way to crew the rails to your component). Once mounted with rails you can slide your accessory into the opening: this is a fairly inaccurate fit: on the 3.5 it was a really tight fit. The 5.25 was loose but they do lock into place. The rails do feel very cheap and seem very bendable if exerted. Of course, hopefully you wont be removing and reinstalling your drives too often.

This is a case that is a good bargain case. Dont think your getting a steal for this case, your getting about what you paid for (maybe a little more). Does not compare to the tooless design of the Antec 1040 I own (not many cases do).

Shipping was great, received the case 3 days after order.

Thanx for your reply. Now that's the kind of objective comment I'm looking for to give me the whole picture of what the case really has to offer. That certainly cleared a few things up for me.

I was speaking of the 400 watt PWS only for $20 not the one that comes with the case. I have not gotten mine yet. ( check my post on the 1st page)

I bought the PWS only ( a few of them ) about a month ago when the deal was first posted. I also bought the case / pws deal this time around. I am assuming that the PWS that comes with the case has 180 watts on the 3.3-5v rails as that is what multiple people here have been saying.

3 external 5.25 bays
2 external 3.5 bays
2 internal 3.5 bays

the fan funnel can be mounted anywhere along a 12 inch area on the back of the case. It is mounted on the waffled air holes on the right back area of the case. It does have a very flexible mounting area, and you should be able to find an area where it does not interfere with anything. Its probably best to mount this fan after you put everything else into the case, then you can attach it where it works the best for you.

Fedex knocked my door this morning. Placed order on Friday and got on Monday, I can't have any complaint. Case itself looks solid and heavy. Still have not got time to build my system.

This is very tempting, but if you search usenet news for "linkworld power supply", it doesn't turn up much, but everything it does turn up is very negative.

Got my case today. It does have the 180w on the 3.3-5v rails.

The case is a pain to figure out how to open. The front plastic bezel has to come off before the sides will. Also the mounting plate for the mobo is not removable, it is rivited on.

Other than that, it loos cool. and the ducted fan is a nice touch.

Tigerdirect uses Deer for most of their systems AFAIK.

I have a 300W version of this and the only downside is that you have to take off the front cover to get to the side panels. Also seems a little awkward when you have to yank the plastic to remove it from the case itself...only a matter of time till it breaks IMHO. Guess what I'm saying is that if you tinker with your rig often, you might want to consider something a little more conventional.

FYI make sure you know the case dimensions when you ordered. I tried fitting a full size atx motherboard in here and it wouldn't mount because the 5.25 inch drive mount area was just a bit too long. I guess I'll have to ebay it cause I don't have any use for it now. I'd be willing to sell it for what I paid for it and shipping if anyone wants it.

Thunderbird...don't take this personally, but why would anyone pay you full price for a used item when they could get it brand new for the same dollars? Remember, your audience is in the HOT DEALS forum LOL!!

This is only a problem with the bottom 5.25 bay. The motherboard sits about 1/16" too high to utilize the bottom 5.25" with a full size component (CD-drive). I have an Asus A7V333 and only use a DVD and a CDRW drive, so I have no need for bottom 5.25" bay. The bay can still be used for components that are not quite as long as CD drives (They are only about 1/2" too long) They could have prevented this problem by making the case about 1/2" higher or or wider. Or they could have lowered the built in motherboard risers slightly.

One concern is the set up of the funnel exhaust fan. If you mount it as high as it goes, it sits above my cpu's heatsink-fan. My problem is this is set up to be an exhaust fan and is sucking air from over the heatsink fan. The heatsink fan is also trying to pull the same air through it to blow through the heatsink. Im wondering if this could be a problem.

i think the case is built for something like the dell rigs. There is no fan on the heatsink and the fan that sucks it out is on the funnel.

Looks cheesy to me. Not as solid as ANtec cases. Cheep power supply by my standards. Basically your typical cheaper cases and after shipping, not a good deal for many.

Must have temporarily forgot where I was. Didn't really expect anyone to pay full price for it really. As far as the dimensions go, I didn't have a cdrom drive or anything in there, with the case empty I couldn't fit the motherboard in there. Had I been able to I would have had to notch it for the 5.25 drive bay.
