3870s in stock at Newegg!

Damn, that's a great priced card! The same one costs $240 CAD up here in Canada even though our dollar is worth more... :-/

Yep, even a falling dollar gets stuff my dollar can't buy. 😀isgust;

edit: I am getting weird faces.

, man that took awhile to get one of these

I've been rechecking every second since monday and i finally got one.

I did overnight shipping... i wonder if i'll get it by friday.

VT is definitely the way to go for 3870 or any other ati card imho. I'm happy so far with the HIS, no problems or anything, but that VT warranty is great.

I HATE it when you go there and see two different 3870 brands available, then BLAM oos...bastards... it took me almost a day of looking every available moment before i could get one. Now if I can just get 3dmark06 and others to work... maybe I'll try crysis demo while I wait for it to download again.

I'll also be waiting for the VT to come back in stock.... I do use most of my stuff past the 1 year barrier or right around there.. My Xion PSU lasted about a month past the one year mark, and it died.. Went with Corsair for the 5 year.. it's really worth having the peace of mind..

yeah just picked up a visiontek, lifetime warranty sealed the deal, man that took awhile to get one of these

No it's 1 year warranty like every other ATI partners.

wow, they usually have lifetime. that's going to be a problem if true.

of course, if you just got it off newegg it's not gospel. my his (along with all other cards except sapphire) said that it was 2400 mem when I ordered it. it's actually stock 1126 as I'm sure the others were, too.

edit: here's the VT warranty page. it says "all radeon cards" so it's logical to assume that includes 3870.
http://www.visiontek.com/teksu...warranty/warranty.html

yea why are you guys saying visionteks have lifetime warranty,it clearly says on neweggs web site that they have a "Manufacturer Limited Warranty period (parts): 1 year"

newegg's website says that about all the 3870's. it also says on the his page that the his 3870 has 2400 mem, when I'm looking at gpu-z showing me at 1126x2=2252. newegg is not perfect. I think I'll trust VT's website before newegg on this one.

I was wondeirng the same thing when i saw that warranty info on Newegg's site. I was wondering if VT dropped its warranty policy. However, you are right to say trust VT's site before the Egg's site when it comes to details regarding their own hardware 😛 thanks for the warranty link. BTW, they need to drop those prices a bit more before I buy one 😀

you missed out on a dell deal for 208 earlier today. it was a VT, too. sit tight, you should be able to get a 3870 for 200-210 shipped pretty soon. maybe 😛

200 shipped is my price 😉

I am giving it a few weeks or so

edit: am upgrading from an x800 vanilla, so i should be pretty much blown away. hehe

VT has a Limited Lifetime Warranty as per their website, that is why I picked it over the Sapphire, although the 3 Sapphire cards I used in the past were flawless.

be careful using the auto tune feature in CCC for 3870. My stupid machine went up to 862...fine...over 862 = crash. reboot...CRASH...every time CCC loads it crashes...the stupid thing didn't go back to the last stable clocks, it keeps trying to load it at 867!!!!! I'm trying a system restore now but I might just end up reinstalling the os...

yeah, too late. I was having so many problems that I decided that a clean install was the way to go anyway.

DAMNIT!!!!!! I forgot to save my freakin' itunes AGAIN!!! I really need an ipod...grrr...
