3870 BSOD

Just got a VISIONTEK HD3870 yesterday and i uninstalled my old x1950pro (agp) (driver removal, driver cleaner, then install 7.12s) and i get a BSOD whenever i try to boot into windows with my new card. It is some atiXXXXX.diag file or something. I have uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times and also tried the 7.11s.

Here are my system specs:

ASROCK 775DUAL-VSTA
E4300
2x1gb Corsair XMS 667
150gb raptor
500watt PSU
Vista 32 bit

I've had that happen before just recently and simply booting into safe mode and double-checking Device Manager to resolve conflicts, then rebooting into Normal mode fixes it.
