3870 and the X1900xtx cooler

Is the default X1900xtx cooler compatible with the HD3870.

Doesn't the HD 3870 have a longer PCB ? Here are the two PCB's compared.

HD 3870 PCB

X1900XTX PCB

It also looks like the GPU itself is in a different location. Which I think is enough for it NOT to work.
