I just ordered a 3850 for a new build. Traditionally, ATI cards have always properly (like Predator) displayed the active camouflage in Halo: Combat Evolved PC, while NVIDIA cards don't (simple fade). The most up-to-date graphics card I have is a 7950GT and it doesn't. The last ATI card I owned was an X850 which did.
Any 38xx owners play Halo PC that can verify this?
Danke.
P.S. Another thing, considering I get ~100fps with my 7950GT, I'm not too concerned about the 3850's performance, but can you tell me how many frames you get in Halo PC?
P.P.S. I'm already aware that there are "render wrappers" that fix NVIDIA's camo rendering.
