3750-E POE Power supply question

I have a 3750-E PD switch, I have maxed out the poe capacity, can i add a second power supply to gain additional capacity or do i need to go to the next higher model?

Which model of 3750E PD? 24 or 48 port?
To provide full PoE to all 48 ports, you need the 1150W power supply.
Why do you use a 3750E for access devices anyway?
Cisco now makes 2960S that can provide 15.4w to all 48 ports. (WS-C2960S-48FPD-L)

the 2960S is beautiful with stackwise. little light on switching power though wouldn't really use it for iscsi

We want as few models as possible

I think we need more info on your current config and use cases to make a suggestion...

The power supply option would be probably be cheapest IF it works (you'd have to research with Cisco directly) - otherwise I expect you're in for around $5k for the 2960 suggested above. Can some of your more power hungry PoE devices be run on a power injector/AC adapter or upgraded to more energy efficient hardware?

Seems like an expensive choice for the sake of standardization on a single hardware platform... $20k versus $5k for a switch running your phones/AP's or cameras is a lot of money being flushed down the toilet unless there's some underlying reason you need the 3750-e's switching horsepower for your POE equipped devices?

Agreed, I only use 3750G's for the core, 2960s go to the desktops. One of the nice things about cisco is the interface is generally the same so there is little reason to use all the same model.
