$40K is near 'Vette range as there is not a lot of competition in the 2-seater sports car category so I hope they don;t skimp on the interior!
Vette starts at $47k MSRP. With options it quickly climbs into low to mid $50k range. That's still quite a price difference.
I like the specs on the new Z. ~50+ more hp and 200lb lighter sounds nice to me. ~3000lb is not bad at all.

I was actually basing that opinion on the pic NFS4 posted. Regardless of it being based on the 350, that doesn't mean the new styling couldn't have more of a retro look to it. Geez.
