Im about to pick up an OEM 3700+ for 180, but i was wondering what stepping to go with. What ive heard so far seems to be:

E4: better for overclocking
E6: better memory controller (helps for 4 memory sticks)

I cant seem to get any kind of consensus though, I would definitely wnat what ever overclocks better, but I also have 4 memory sticks, and so the E6 seems to be better.

Anyone know much about this??

I think the E6 with the right motherboard might allow 1T at DDR400 with four sticks, where as the E4 will def be a command rate of 2T. Either way i would recommend the E4 as you will benefit more from a higher clocked San Diego rather than better memory performance support. Four sticks will work with an E4, you?ll just have to run them no higher than 200Mhz and stick to a 2T command rate.

I think the tweaks were minor anyway with the E6 rev mem controller.
