Will 3700+ bottleneck X850XT? Do I need faster CPU for x850xt?

running resolution at 1600*1xxx , with AA and AF all max.

games like Unreal 04, MMORPG like WoW, guild wars, etc.

Thanks

LOL ... 3700+ --- + --- x850XT --- = Uber rig ... mate all you need to do is Oc and you'll have one of the best setups for gaming 😕

ATM, all high end video cards are somewhat bottlenecked by CPUs, & it's likely to stay that way for a long time, especially since the newer games are using so many shaders, etc. now, & CPUs really aren't getting much faster.

That being said, there's nothing much that's alot faster than a 3700+.

You've got it backwards. Its video cards that are the bottleneck for current games. All the new shaders, etc just tax the video card more. The only game that is noticably impacted by a faster CPU (assuming its an A64 or P4) is HL2.

So no, the 3700 won't even be close to a bottleneck for the x850xt.
