3700+ (939) w/ ASUS A8N-E OC'ing

Ok ... I'm new to overclocking, BUT I'm told, that the 3700+ can clock up to FX-57 Speeds, can I do that w/ the ASUS A8N-E and if NOT how far can I get it up...

Now the noobie part, what would be the best cooler to do this with? And what would you recommend to monitor it? i.e. digital LCD displaying temps etc.

Summary:
What heatsink would be best ( I don't and have never shopped for a heatsink this is my first build)
And Overclocking to FX-57 speeds or close to ...

Thanks to all who give advice.

the best cooler would probably be the thermalright xp90 if you want air, and you are on a budget. that is about the best air cooler there is. you will have to get a fan separately. all chips overclock differently. so you will have to see. use this guide ">http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...atid=28&threadid=1497607&enterthread=y</a> and you should be set.

hey boringwall, i have the same proc and mobo that you have. have you had any problems with blue screens? i'm getting these random BSOD's right at startup right after i get on the desktop.

only things that are plugged into the board is a x800xl pci-express and 2gbs of corsair xms in dual channel (1gbx2) and a seagate 300gb through parallel ata

also running an antec trupower 430watt

nice psu you have in your sig should be sw33t for ocing....

jk.

edit: why would you run a beatiful machine on a ultra x connect... its rated like the worst powersupply that machine deserves sumthing good.

Hey PoweredByV8, I'm still waiting on my mobo to come in :-\ ... I'm all the way in Alaska so it takes some time for even 2 day to get here, go figure.
