LOL that is awesome. That has to be hard to do when you can't actually see in real time from the top, and it only updates every so many years so have to get it right the first time.

And someone had a little fun with crop circles too.

bwahahaha - oh man, that's pretty awesome. advertising money well spent. They KNEW so many people look at Area 51 on google maps that they'd get some attention. Well played. Well played. 65,000ft^2 of win.

lol just checked area 51 then Google earth crashed. *tinfoil hat*. I never even bothered to check for it but it looks pretty cool. Surprised it's not censored out.

Just plug the coordinates into Google Earth.
KFC Logo Nevada Desert
By $[poster_name]

The "Face from Space" took more than 3,000 hours to create from inception to launch and was built by Synergy, a leading event company. The logo consists of 65,000 one-foot by one-foot painted tile pieces that were assembled like a giant jigsaw puzzle: 6,000 red, 14,000 white, 12,000 eggshell, 5,000 beige and 28,000 black. The logo took 24 days, working around-the-clock, to manufacture and ultimately produce. It then took six days on site to construct the logo, during which time the logo design pieces were kept hidden and under cover from identified and unidentified flying objects.

How can you ban the photography of something that does not exist?

Seriously...whats with the crop circles?

That's what I was thinking. It's kind of odd there are so many right around Area 51.

They're kinda neat too, they're so perfectly round. I wonder if they actually serve a purpose, or it's just to make people like us wonder.

Seriously? It's just farm land. Since it's the desert, it has to be irrigated. The radius that you see in each of those circles is a long irrigation arm. It's on wheels, and pivots at the center, where it's hooked up to the water source. The ease of irrigating this way is worth the tradeoff of wasting land at the corners of the square.

Is there even any crops there? I figured it was just some kind of design done in the sand and not an actual "crop" circle.
