360 USB Ports Broken?

I left my 360 at a buddies house over the holiday since I didn't need it. He just called me up and told me that the USB ports are busted one it. I didn't get many details but it was something about the connectors got bent out of shape and/or partially pulled out the last time my Rock Band stuff was taken out. I'm not quite sure what he means but it sounds ugly.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Or have any idea what he's talking about?
 
I'm no expert, but it sounds like he attempted to have sex with your Xbox 360. I'm sure that flap and all the holes were too much of a temptation.



Seriously, I don't know how you could bend or pull out the USB connectors on the 360 unless you really really tried or were really really drunk.
 
Proof that no matter how many times they revise the motherboard they can never make it idiot proof.

This might be a good time to bludgeon your friend to death with the broken console.
 
If its really as bad as it sounds your friend owes you a 360. You really have to abuse it to screw up the USB ports like he's claiming.

What is that old engineering saying? Something to the effect of: "The minute you make it idiot proof, god will simply make better idiots."
 
All three USB ports are broken? 😕 If you still have one or two functional ports, you could just get a USB hub.

 
I'm heading over there tonight to see the damage I'll be sure to keep an eye out for empty bottles of beer and a tiny torn up condom.

The back port should still work and I've got the Rock Band USB hub so I can always use that.
 
Me thinks he was rocking out a little too hard. Remind him you can't go all rock star and smash the guitar and kick the 360 over like an amp.

Any update on this?

I'm curious because I also know some people that seem to have problems with USB connectors. Their motto is: "If it does not want to plug in, just push it harder until something moves".
