Wrong. All of those threads are circa 2005-2006, before the new dashboard. Those instructions no longer work, and I cannot find any up to date instructions on the xbox live website.

Edit: Actually, searching for "Auto Login" on the xbox website brings back ZERO results, as seen here:

This was a post made Feb 1, 2009 for the new XBE. I gave you the answer, yet you still bitched you couldn't find it. We may be harsh, but that's because it wasn't that hard to find... took me under 1 minute with google which I provided you.
 
It can be a problem, but I haven't run into it too often.

The most annoying one for me was that I started Rock Band with the controller so it would be easy to set up a new band, rather than using an instrument to do the input. I then turned in the guitar and proceeded to rock out for a few hours. Having been logged in to the controller on #1 rather than the guitar on #2, I didn't get any credit for achievements because I wasn't actually IN the band. My controller was just there with me logged in but not counting as a group member.

Doh!

I had to start a new band to get those first several achievements.
 
I'm confused by your QQ. Back when I had a X360, I remember the default setting has login set to auto. You turn on the console and it'll auto login to Live. 😵

Seriously I probably have the thickest skin ever. I'm the first to admit that I read the first three posts in your link and ignored the third due to the irrelevance of the former. Was my mistake there. Though, you could have just copy and pasted the relevant part since realistically you have to understand why I would have not gotten to the bottom of that thread.

I wish. =( Now the default is "Disabled". Appears to be a "feature" of the new dashboard. Which, honestly, wouldn't be that huge of a deal if it wasn't so fucking hard to find the toggle!
