360 headsets

Actually I really just want to know if this thing will work for PC. 😉

I'm not exactly sure how it connects 😕.
If anyone can help that would be nice 🙂

It connect between the xbox headset and the controller. Doubt it would work as the 360 headset is not a standard minijack.

Not true - it most certainly is. In fact, later 360 headsets dispense with the fancy clip-in mechanism and use a straight 2.5mm jack with (I presume) friction fit.

Not true. The "Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows" (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hard...relessgamingreceiver/) states explicitly that it will work with four controllers and four headsets simultaneously. I should really buy one sometime...

i just copied and pasted from some other forum. i dont read things.
Have you ever considered that maybe you shouldn't post at all if you personally don't know? Or at least qualify it with "here's what I saw somewhere else"?

Exactly, I've got said receiver and use both my Wheel and 360 wireless controller with it. Now, I do not know if the headset will work or not with those but I guess it's entirely possible.

Doh. Completely forgot about the 2.5mm jack standard. Will a 360 headset work for voice comms if you get an adapter?

Sure, provided you get the right one.

Best Buy in my area was selling wireless controller with the receiver (Windows branded controllers) for $40, while the same controller without the receiver was selling for $50.

nope. but i figured all the >> >> >> >> might give something away. its the internets. its all true anyway.

I meant by just plugging it into my mic jack on the soundcard, not though any controller.

So the 360 controller mic input is 2.5mm?
