350ml of Rum @ 38% alcohol = approximately how many beers?

Just drank a bottle of rum my buddy brought me back from the Dominican Republic.

Need a reason to explain how I feel... just a tiny buzz, nothing else.

Edit: This is what happens when the wife goes to IKEA and I stay home to hang a talking deer head (Buck) on the wall.

Back in the stone age, my friends and I came up with a drunkness scale -

Buzzed
Lit
Glowed
Roasted
Hammered

Mary-Anne (This was the drunkest I've ever seen anyone, evar, so her name became the epitome of drunkness.) :p

 at the deer head part.

You hardly drank anything thats the problem. The big Bacardi Rums - the ones with the handle - are 1.75 L.

So you probably had very little.

Edit: Thats pretty vague but thats all I can do for now.

I'd estimate (conservatively) 4 beers.

Well it all depends on the beer, doesn't it?
I could think of piss poor 2.5% beer, and you could usually drink 8% beer, so you'd end up with a wildly different number to me.

That would fall under the category of what?... Colt45? ugh.

Glad to see your sarcasm meter isn't broken Lonyo :) .

Hmmm, 8 beers in 2 hours... no wonder!

You should have got a row of shot glasses and done it that way in 30 minutes or less for the whole bottle :p
Hmm, I think I need to get me some shot glasses.

alright lets do some quick math. I may be completely wrong here, jut FYI.

350 ml of 38% rum = 11.8349079 US fl oz of 38% rum.

Out of that, 4.497265 oz (11.8349079*.38) is alcohol.

to get 4.497265oz of alcohol from 4.7% beer, you would need to drink 95.6864894 oz of Newcastle (4.497265 = .047Z, solve for Z)

95.6864894 oz/ 12oz/beer = 7.97387412 Newcastles.

Now, I'm going to assume that this math was wrong because you're only feeling a slight buzz and most people I know would be doin' alright after 8 beers.

Try half a container of 1.75 liters of 40% AC Bacardi...

I can usually do that and still be fairly coherant

Or alternatively, do (38/4.75) * 350 to get the answer (in l).
Nice and simple.

hard alcohol takes a bit longer to kick in, which is why I quit drinking it. I always drink WAY to much and it hits me all at once. Then I'm hammered.

True... I've stuck to moderate beer consumption for the past 2 years... haven't had "hard" liquor since then. Now I know why.

Beer is genearlly 4% alcohol. So in general rum would have 9.5 times that of beer.
350ml of rum would be about the same alcohol as 3,325ml of beer.

Personaly, I don;t drink either. I drink sake which is 14 - 15% alcohol or 3 times that of beer.
