taz you better watch switching the dell supply. They use a different standard than atx hookup. It's wired different. You'll screw up your board plugging a regular Supply in.

Guess that's why they do it.

I hate proprietary stuff. Hence why I don't mind compaq going down in flames. I have some crazy proprietary hardware stories from back in the day dealing with compaq.

Has anyone else experienced any problem with this PS? Two of three of mine dead after only few days of use, I am on the last one today. The two are all dead during power off, turn off last night, can not turn back on the next morning, NC card light was on though, and the PS feels warm in the morning(cooler when power is on). I am running a XP1600+ and Ti4200 card, nothing else draws too much power...

Hey guys, if you want to get a power supply locally, Compusa has a 300 watt Atx PS that supports Pentium 4 and athlon cpus, is ATX ver 2.03 and ATX 12v ver 1.1 compliant. It feels pretty solid. The normal price is $39.99, but it went on sale today for $19.99 out the door......

Be careful with CUSA power supplies. =D I've replaced 2 out of 2.

The trick to dealing with SVC is you can't eMail you must call. If they don't answer when you call, dont' let the machine pick up so you don't get charged. Let the phone ring for 21 sec on your cell phone or what not. Then, call back every hour. Sometimes I guess they dont' have someone on the phone but eventually they will. However, this does not mean you will get good service. I had to call 4 times just to get my order of a heatsink/floopy drive shipped. These guys are in terrible shape.
