35% off all iPhones (new 3GS 16gb $129), FS.

This is assuming you know how bing.com (live.com) works and have an account set up.

1) Go to bing.com.
2) type in att wireless.
3) click on sponsored link at top showing 35% off.

iPhone 3GS 16GB - $199 - $70 CB = $129.

Also you can get:
iPhone 3GS 32GB - $299 ($194.35 with CB)
iPhone 3G 8GB - $99 ($65 with CB)
iPhone 3G 16GB - $149 ($97.5 with CB)
iPhone 3G 8GB (Refurb) - $79 ($51.35 with CB)
iPhone 3G 16GB (Refurb) - $129 (83.85 with CB)

Free shipping.

The irony of this all is Microsoft paying 35% cashback on an Apple product.

Just an FYI, the sponsored ads don't show up for in firefox if you've got adblock enabled.

Too bad you can't get 35% back on the $74.99 a month 2-year contract 🙂

Can someone explain how this cashback works? Is it an immediate savings that I will receive or do I receive the cashback later? I see the refurb for $79. Is there anything special that I have to do beyond going through the advertised link and checking out? I would like to get this for my company phone. The cheaper it is up front (at time of purchase), the better.

I'm forced to go with AT&T because no signal w/ T-Mobile where I work. TMobile being cheapest plans around here 🙂

Can anyone tell me what their ETF fees are? The refurbs might be worth it to buy then cancel.

Has anyone tried this deal for the iphone. When I tried to purchase the iphone it said that the discounts are not valid on the iphone so I don't know if I will get the money.

No, you don't get any immediate savings.

You need to create a Bing.com Cashback account. Qualifying purchases will generate a credit to your Cashback account. This credit can take upwards of 90 days to show up in your account then you can transfer it to your paypal account.

And this deal is awesome!

I wonder if this will work adding a line to an existing Family Plan.

Looking at FW website shows that this won't work on existing lines or plans.... 🙁
I'm about ready to renew my contract for my old 2G iphone, this would have been perfect to upgrade 3Gs... Oh well. Maybe they will change that...

Cashback is usually in addition to the vendor rules. If you enter the site from the Cashback search, you should get a message from [Bing] Cashback soon after you enter the order. You can try it and if you don't get a Cashback confirmation after an hour or so, just cancel the order.

FYI guys and gals... I've used the 35% cashback on an iphone before and it worked, but I had to weasel it out of them. I was already a customer of ATT but was time for an upgrade, so I got the refurb iphone w/ 35% off. However, they said that the cashback was not valid for renewals and only for new contracts. After some complaining and stuff on the phone they gave it back and I was able to get my 35%.

Also, it's not an instant cashback. When I did it the money didn't clear till after 60 days.

Has anyone gotten the bing cashback email yet? I placed an order but didn't get the bing email. It's been a couple of hours.

Usually, when I do this on eBay, it takes a few minutes.

Cashback explicitly states now this is valid for NEW CONTRACTS ONLY.

I would switch if they didn't ream you with the $30 data fee along with the $20 unlimited texting fee.
Why isn't texting included in the data fee ?

Didn't say so a few months back when I bought it which is why I was pissed. If they had said so in the first place I would have nothing to get mad about.

You say unlimited texting fee like it's required. The data is required, but the texting isn't... so don't bitch about being reemed by something when it's an option

I really wish Sprint had the iPhone or Verizon did, and matched Sprint's pricing. In my area, Verizon has the hands down best coverage but they're crazy expensive. I could get the Sprint Simply Everything plan (UNLIMITED voice, text, data) for $75 a month which is ridiculously cheap compared to Verizon. I don't even use voice that much and could easily get by with 450 voice minutes, unlimited text, unlimited data for $53 a month. Too bad their coverage isn't as good and their phones stink 🙁

Really...I just got the Palm Pre this weekend, and I think it's pretty damn awesome.

I submitted an order and but only got the order confirmation email from AT&T but nothing from MS. I'll update later if I receive something.

Update - I got an email from Bing Cash back stating that I would receive $104.75 back. I am hoping, fingers crossed, that come next Friday when the phone is delivered, it'll go through.

6-13-09 - received updated shipping info. Will be delivered by 6/19.

6-14-09 - AT&T writes: Your number transfer/port request has been confirmed by your previous service provider. Looking good so far. No updates on the cash back site since the last one.

6/20 - Phone was delivered yesterday afternoon. No new updates from MS yet. It's much faster than my 2g, peppier IMO.

8/11 - CASH BACK in hand! Thank you Microsoft!

Could I sign up for the phone, cancel on the 31st day pay the termination fee, + 1 month service, then use the phone with only the data plan (I believe it would be $35 a month) and use a prepaid voice plan of some sort?

Breakdown of costs:

321+175+30(activation)+85(1 month service with taxes, estimate) = $611 (perhaps $511 if the Bing cashback goes through). Is this possible?
