People seem to find writing undirected graphs challenging. I guess everyone has opted to turn it in late at the cost of 10% of their grade on it.

Yeah, this is the kind of stuff you think about when posting from class.

Not everyone knows everything that is going to be taught in the class before they take it.

Since you seem to start a lot of these types of threads, why don't you make some extra money tutoring? Seems you know everything already.

maybe they dont really need to do the assighments, if its worth little of their grade.. and they do well on the exams
i am taking a summer class right now (Engineering Economics) and i dont do the hw but i got highest grade in the class on the midterm, to me the 5 percent weight for the hw is a waste of time.

I had a mythology class the same way. Homework was 5%, and totaled about 125 pages for the semester. What a waste.


I really should do my Net+ homework....but I am not going to.

Yeah, actually our professor was telling us this, when he was an undergrad, none of them bothered to read an assignment handed out to them by their then professor (she still teaches now, BTW) and the prof got mad and simply walked out of class . . ..

I managed to do practically no homework in high school. When I did do it, it was late.

Somehow, I managed to get into a good college and law school. Graduated from there and passed the bar exam in Texas.

I always figured out the bare minimum i needed to get to eek by. Maybe your students are doing the same.

UH is considered a decent law school.

that's better than my class. 4 people turned projects in today out of around 20 people. then again it's hard as all hell. i'm still working on mine. good lord i hate assembly language, iosim and nasm.

When I was there, it was first tier, according USNWR.

Sorry, I didn't mean to infer that I was superior to the rest of the class because I turned the assignment in on time, I jsut noticed that under half of the class was able to turn it in: it must have been a bitch for a lot of people (the professor suggested that people use code out of the book and modify it, which many people did, and had difficulty with... I wrote my own from scratch and it seems to be less confusing (to me at least).

Anyway, they definitely didn't just not do it because they didn't feel like it, in this class if you don't turn in ALL of the programming assignments, you can't get better than a C. If you don't turn in two or more of them, you can't pass the class.

But, like I said, they can turn it in late for a lesser deduction.
