32x8 cable modems latency problems

I only know of two 32x8 cable modems and both have the same latency problem. SURFboard SB6190 and Netgear CM700. Is there more than just them 2? I am wary of buying a 32x8 modem after reading the reviews and seeing the problems of these modems.

Most of the info I've seen about the SB6190 is that US ISP's have pushed out the needed firmware fix.

Intel PUMA based 32x8 modems have the latency issues, I would skip this generation and wait for DOCSIS 3.1
There is a firmware that fixes ICMP IPV4 packets only, so you will still have latency in UDP/TCP and IPV6.

This issue has been going on for awhile now.

In Canada my ISP is working with Hitron to find a fix.

So far we've had an updated firmware for ICMP IPv4 which i'm running now.

They are working on other type of packets.

It was posted on Dslreports yesterday.

The issue is with the Intel Puma 6 chipset so any modem using this will see it.

I'm on a 24x8 modem and see it so its not just 32x8 modems.
