32x8 cable modems latency problems

Intel PUMA based 32x8 modems have the latency issues, I would skip this generation and wait for DOCSIS 3.1
There is a firmware that fixes ICMP IPV4 packets only, so you will still have latency in UDP/TCP and IPV6.

I wonder how much longer it will be before they start selling them.
 
This issue has been going on for awhile now.

In Canada my ISP is working with Hitron to find a fix.

So far we've had an updated firmware for ICMP IPv4 which i'm running now.

They are working on other type of packets.

It was posted on Dslreports yesterday.

The issue is with the Intel Puma 6 chipset so any modem using this will see it.

I'm on a 24x8 modem and see it so its not just 32x8 modems.
