Which is relative or course. $32k won't do much in NYC or LA but in small town mid-west or south, it isn't bad. And even those considered to be in poverty in the United States are still better off than just about anywhere else in the world.

Americans have got to look at the rest of the world instead of the rest of the country to get a good idea where they rank on the food chain. Americans are spoiled, no two ways about it. Even those who make 30k a year and households that make 45k are living better than a lot of people in the rest of the world.
